Description

The Write-Back Free extension allows you to select data from your Tableau sheets, edit or add new information, and save it to a Google Sheet. This sheet can then be used as a data source, enabling you to blend the new data with the original, effectively closing the loop and displaying any updates or new entries.

The extension supports a variety of use cases, such as categorizing data on the fly—similar to Tableau's group functionality, but with the added benefit of storing the categories. You can also add comments across the dataset, use it for budgeting, or set targets and goals. Simply select the base fields that define the level at which you'd like to work, create the target fields, and input values directly or via formulas. For date fields, you can also modify the values to schedule future entries.

How to Access:

1. Log in to Tableau with the following credentials:
   • User: user1
   • Password: write-back-demo
     
2. Choose your use case and navigate to the dashboard where Write-Back is embedded. Use the same credentials to access and interact with the Write-Back.

Please remember that this is a public environment, hosted by Write-Back and shared publicly. Any data submitted by the users on the extension will be stored on Write-Back's database. Do not upload any relevant data.
